About The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Rugby League Football Club

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league team named after the Northern Beaches in which the club is based in the Manly and Warringah areas of Sydney. We play in Telstra Premiership of the National Rugby League (NRL), Australia’s elite rugby league competition. The club first played in the season of the New South Wales Rugby Football League in 1947 and is currently playing home matches off its ground, Brookvale Oval while training at the Narrabeen New South Wales Academy of Sport. The Sea Eagles have never received the wooden spoon that makes them the current record-holders of the longest time going without a wooden spoon that is more than 70 years from its founding, going to this day.

Each season until 1999 the Manly Warringah Rugby League Football Club was playing in the NSWRL, ARL and NRL. The club entered into a joint venture with the North Sydney Bears to form the Northern Eagles at the end of 1999, which statisticians in the Rugby League consider to be a different club. The Northern Eagles had been playing in 2000 and 2001, before the failure of the joint venture. In 2002, the Manly Warringah club (which retained the NRL license) played under the Northern Eagles brand for another season, before giving up the name and title to return under their own name at the beginning of the 2003 season.

The club has won a total of eight First Grade titles since securing their first Premiership in 1972, with their most recent premiership being the 2011 Grand Final. The eight titles to the club span five successive decades. The club has played in 19 Grand Finals over seven successive decades, since their first Grand Final appearance in 1951. In its 70 seasons the club has never won the wooden spoon, the longest period of any current club.

For Manly Warringah with 309, Cliff Lyons holds the record for most first-class games; Steve Menzies played 349 games but 69 were for the Northern Eagles. Graham Eadie holds the record for most scored points with 1,917 points and Matthew Ridge has the highest total in one season, scored 257 in 1995. Brett Stewart holds the top trial scoring record with 163, beating the previous record held by Steve Menzies who scored 151 tries and is also the highest trial scoring forward in the game’s history.

NRL Live Stream TV Channel

On the off chance that you will leave behind some money to appreciate full inclusion of the period, at that point foxtel is the correct stage for you. It accommodates one of the approaches to get the NRL season with the most through inclusion of the Leagus, as each game is gushed in their foundation.

Channel 9

Channel 9 is the correct holder to the NRL and is entrusted with broadcasting three games live and sans cost through 9Now, their gushing stage is each round.
