NRL Nines TV and Broadcast Guide

There are several options for watching the NRL Nines 2020 in Australia, but for this edition at least, there is actually no free to air broadcaster for the tournament. Foxtel has an arrangement with the NRL Live Pass network to screen all thirty matches, that is more than 12 hours of NRL Nines over two days and live, a partnership they’ll share.

Coverage from Foxtel comes from their Fox Footy channel which specializes in the Rugby League world. In addition to the NRL Nines Perth series, Fox Footy will be showcasing several other head-to-head pre-season matches including the Indigenous and Māori All Star game, as well as the World Club Challenge and Super League 2020 matches. Fortunately on Australia TV, there is more than one way to access Fox Footy, like Foxtel, Foxtel Now and the streaming channel of Kayo Sports, with each live and HD game available.

Watch the NRL Nines Live Stream Online Foxtel for FREE

In addition to televising live Fox Footy games, Telstra’s Foxtel and Foxtel will typically offer the same matches with NRL Nines TV replays airing later that day, as well as the ability to watch the NRL live online via compatible smartphone and internet connected devices via the Foxtel Go app.

You also have the option to watch NRL Nines 2020 online using Foxtel Now, which allows you to view all Fox Sports channels without a Pay TV subscription (via Foxtel Now Sport Pack). For good measure, Foxtel Now currently offers a 10-day FREE trial so you can try all of its content (over 50 sports in total) before any charge, and if you want to subscribe you can cancel at any time if you don’t use it anymore.

Watch the NRL 9s with NRL Live Pass

The NRL Live Pass is an option available during this same period for those who are not interested in the variety of other sport. Nonetheless, the consistency of the screenings does not deliver higher resolution from the other platforms and buffering issues are known to occur. The platform offers weekly, monthly or annual subscriptions and will screen live every game of the pre-season, regular season and playoff season including the NRL Nines 2020.

Subscriptions are available through the NRL App, which is included free, if you have one, with selected Telstra Mobile Phone plans. If you don’t just download the app from the Apple Store and play Google on a compatible device, choose from three payment options: $3.99/week, $14.99/month, or $99.99/an. There is also a 14 day cancel at anytime trial during pre-season games only.

Stream the 2020 Perth NRL Nines FREE on Kayo Sports

Another way to watch the NRL Nines live in Australia would be to use the 14 day Kayo Sports free trial, which does not have a lock-in contract and is available on two computers if you want to share it. Because Kayo is partnered with Fox Sports, it will broadcast the very same live Fox Footy games as Foxtel, but without the expense of Pay TV contracts. Kayo provides live NRL streaming for qualifying mobile devices and browsers, including select PC and Macs, iOS and Android phones and tablets, Google Chromecast, Apple and Telstra TV, as well as Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers, with new apps and services coming soon.

Kayo will also provide replays of the matches they are televising on request, should you need to catch up on the action that week. Furthermore, each game will be shown in High Definition, offering you greater clarity, while the No Spoilers choice enables fans to mask all outcomes, a very useful feature if you don’t want to know the outcomes before you’ve had a chance to watch a key On Demand case, along with a wide range of viewing options that aren’t accessible with alternatives.

Watch the Perth Nines Live Stream For Free

Although you won’t find the 2020 Perth Nines on Free to Air TV, Fox Sports will provide exclusive live coverage of play without ad-breaks, along with main match replays for those who want to watch the action again. Fans also have the option to use a number of internet connected devices to watch the Perth Nines online.

So if you’re an Australian citizen you might want to try out the 14-day free trial of Kayo Sports that provides almost the same live coverage as Fox Sports. You can watch the Perth Nines live with Kayo using selected PCs and Macs, iOS and Android phones and tablets, Apple and Telstra TV, Google Chromecast, Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Microsoft Edge. And you can use their No Spoilers feature to

While many will question the legitimacy of such a competition in the lead-up to the season, organizers have ensured that teams will have plenty of incentive to give their best players a $1 million reward to the winner. In top of that, any team that is able to win both the Perth Nines and the NRL 2020 Premiership will earn a $1 million bonus, so expect to see the best of the best out of their putting on a display, and you can watch the Perth Nines live from start to finish.
